PRODUCTION

Black Magic has its own broadcast SD camera equipment – 2 x Panasonic DVC Pro 900 series camcorders and 2 x Sony 530 XDCamcorders. In addition 2 x Sony PDX-10’s suuplement coverage where required, along with mini-camera kits with either Digital 8 tape or Flash card recorders are used for onboard camera acquisition.

Black Magic also owns 3 x portable analogue CamLink II RF microwave ENG systems. A class license enables broadcast pictures to be transmitted without cables, ideally suited for corporate conferences, but equally useful for live and pre recorded broadcast situations where small easy to use and cost effective links are required.

POST PRODUCTION

Black Magic has three permanent and one portable non-linear edit systems all using Final Cut Pro II for our own post-production needs.

Powerful Mac Pro processors make short work of television and corporate requirements non-linear media delivery platforms and linked to a FibreJet hard drive server.

In addition our third portable Apple Mac Book Pro with HD screen enables high quality non-linear editing out on the road.

Replay and mastering can either be Digital Betacam, DVCPro 25 or 50, SP Betacam, DVCam and miniDV.

We also have portable suitcase style tape to tape Panasonic laptop editors - LT 75 & 95, ideal for quick turnaround corporate work, machines that complement the Panasonic cameras and mini camera systems employed by Black Magic.
